No, not usually. We often describe the needles as being as thin as a strand of hair. You may feel a dull or warm sensation which is what we are trying to achieve. If you do feel any discomfort at any time the needles will immediately be removed. Most people tend to fall asleep during treatment and find it incredibly relaxing.

Yes. Glow Acupuncture only uses single use, sterilised needles. This is outlined under law in Australia, indemnity insurance and professional code of ethics.

Chinese Medicine works slightly differently to Western Medicine in that we view any health conditions as a series of symptoms, and we are trying to establish and treat the root cause of any illness the patient may be suffering from.

We look at all aspects of your physical, mental and emotional health to establish a pattern of disharmony and a fully customised Chinese Medicine diagnosis and associated treatment protocol.

We will discuss in detail the answers to the pre-questionnaire and go into further details into relevant areas surrounding your health concerns. We review any changes at each appointment moving forward.
